LISBON- The street food author

 Hello!
Delivering the promised today I will post more on a theme "What to eat and where to eat in Lisbon."
The theme is: "LISBON ON WHEELS"
Do not look in amazement because if you fancy a quick bite, good quality, affordable and outdoors, I'll take it (a) to certain sites:
The street food author in Lisbon
This is a concept that has started long ago, in countries like the United States (especially in New York), expanded in Europe (Paris, London, Berlin ...) and, since March 2014, also is on the streets of Lisbon with the name "Lisbon on wheels."
What is it?
It is an initiative of the Municipality of Lisbon, after some reluctance, accepted the suggestion of five Portuguese entrepreneurs who sought permission to expand this type of business in Lisbon (street vans adapted appropriately to be able to sell meals at certain locations in the city). It was then taken a partnership between the House and five restaurants. The "street food author" is in the streets since March and boom! Pioneering companies were: The Frying Pan Neighborhood, Hamburgueria Parade, bananacafe, Hot Dog Lovers and Wasabi.
Be explained that this project is not identified with poor quality food, on the contrary, their mentors have a quality menu, prepared with typical Portuguese products (picked from the garden! ...)
Apart from having to provide good quality food design imposes other rules as, for example, where and when each truck can park to your business: must work every day (March to October) Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 20.00, alternating between them for the following locations: Campo Grande, Entrecampos Amoreiras, Saldanha, Cais do Sodré, Eduardo VII Park and Monsanto. They sell food and have a terrace to be able to eat comfortably.
On Thursday nights, Friday and Saturday (from 02.00 20.00h) minibuses are all in Parque Eduardo VII (at the top next to the flag) which form a large terrace. Then, besides being able to taste good food at affordable prices, you can also socialize and enjoy a cultural program scheduled for that purpose.
One of the great and wonderful green areas of Lisbon is Monsanto. Beyond moving (especially weekends) many families and groups of friends, so the protocol design contemplates that one of the vans street food there should also be on Sundays from 10:00 to 19:00.
Every week distribution vans are made in "facebook".
And here are some tips of what you can enjoy:
. Bananacafe: drinking great fresh juices, smoothies, pies, quiches handmade ...

. The Frying Pan Neighbourhood: indulge in the yummy baked potatoes flavored with herbs, the bread with sprouts, accompanying the traditional cod or burritas black pork ...

. Wasabi: If a fan of sushi and / or temakis, this is the ideal place for you.

. Hamburgueria: if you like hamburgers, lamb and cheese sauce Sierra, Curry ... stay here. Do not like do not go play, for example, that make it a vegetarian recipe.

. Hot Dog Lovers: and it could not be also can opt for the delicious hot dogs ...
  Stay tuned!
The next post is for anyone who has time to eat slowly and fat wallet ...

Brunch is trendy!

This concept of a mixed meal consisting of breakfast and lunch is of British origin: "breakfast + lunch." Much sought after, especially on weekends, once the meal usually begins to be served by 10:30 am extending to 16h (or more) which allows sleep late, go out with family and / or friends, make the meal a good time socializing and getting comforted stomach for the rest of the day!
The menu varies from place to place but often the existence of scrambled eggs, bacon, mini soup, cereal, fruit, milk, tea, coffee, pancakes, meats, mushrooms, breads, cakes ...
The price also varies, depending on the menu and philosophy of every homeowner market, despite this "venture" to indicate some values which may, in some cases, no longer be practiced when the ai make inquiries. However always give a clue ... how do I give addresses and phone numbers, I suggest you make a call before you leave home, to inform pricing, menus and other details of the location because "like" is very subjective!
Good appetite and that the choice falls within the best for each.

Offers immense national and international brands from different modalities: perfume, lingerie, furniture, decor, jewelery, perfumes, glasses, shoes, computers ... because they highlight just a lot for being the "queen" of low prices: Primark.
